今日はイベントレポートです。
日本折紙協会（NOA）の「折紙シンポジウム」に参加してきました！
日程は9/7(日)-9(火)の3日間、開催場所は石川県小松市です。
かなり前から職場の理解を得て休暇をとり、昨年に続きフル参加してきました。

Today I'll report about Origami Symposium 2025 held from Sep 7th to 9th, in Komatsu Ishikawa.
I took a vacation from my job and joined all dates.
地方の旅館を貸し切り、泊まり込みで時間を共にするNOAのシンポジウム。
日本折紙学会（JOAS）の「折紙探偵団コンベンション」は目をギラつかせた若者が中心ですが、こっちは参加者の年齢が高めで、やんわりとした雰囲気です。
こんなマニアックなイベントに課金して来る時点で、どっちもガチ勢には変わりないんですけどね。

We stay overnight for three days while renting out the inn.
NOA symposium participants are senior age, in contrast to JOAS convention.
Of course both are enthusiastic Origami fans.
講演会、折り紙教室、専門部会、懇親会、そして深夜のスパルタ講習（ごめんなさい）。
どれも貴重な体験ばかりで、非常に濃厚な時間を過ごさせていただきました。
NOAスタッフの皆様、講師の先生方、それから参加された方々、ありがとうございました！

Seminar, origami lesson, expart committee, reception, and special training at night.
Each content was precious for me, I spent meaningful time.
I express special thanks to NOA staffs, all instructors & participants.
Now I'll report All, including the day before.

■前日
新幹線より飛行機の方が安かったので、羽田から小松空港までひとっ飛び！
展示用作品やデモ用35cmなどの大きい荷物は、事前に配送済み。
カッターなどの小道具も同梱しておけば、当日に荷物を預ける必要がなかったのですが、気付いたのが先日だったから仕方ないですね。
アレどう考えても危険物ですよね。美ら海水族館で買ったおさかなカッターと金属製耳かきなんぞでハイジャックを疑われようもんなら、シンポジウムどころではありません。
■The day before
I shipped the origami exhibits and large paper in advance, and went by plane the day before.
If I had enclosed my tools such as utility knife or scissors, I wouldn't need to check a luggage at the airport. They must be dangerous items prohibited from being carried on board.
夕方から人と会う予定があったので、カフェでたくさん喋って、夜はおいしい塩ラーメン食べて、バーでおいしいお酒飲んで、おやすみなさい。
In the evening I met a certain person and we're talking for a long time. Then ate ramen and went to a bar, finally arrived at a hotel.
21時を過ぎると小松駅周辺はシャッター街になるのを知らず、しばらく彷徨ったのはここだけの話。
I didn't know that most of restaurant round Komatsu station close early, there's no spot at 21PM. I wandered for a while.

■１日目
いよいよシンポジウム初日！
受付は１２〜１３時なので、比較的のんびり過ごせます。そう思って悠々とホテルを出た私を、ハリセンで引っ叩きたい。
■Day1
The first day of NOA symposium.
We must enter the venue between noon & 1PM, there's enough time so I had a breakfast slowly.
(Now I realize it was a terrible mistake)
バス停まで15分くらい歩いて、バスで小松駅まで。
宿泊場所である「粟津温泉 喜多八」は、調べたら隣の粟津駅が最寄りだったので、ＩＲいしかわ鉄道に乗り込みます。
Walked to the bus stop for 15min, then went to Komatsu station.
The inn "Kitahachi" is located near Awazu station (next to Komatsu), so I jumped in IR Ishikawa line.
粟津駅。バスの発車まで時間があったので、駅前でランチ。 余裕ぶっこき過ぎてバスを逃す。しばらくバスがないから、タクシーで向かうことに。
久しぶりのシンポジウム、どんな出会いや感動が待っているのかワクワクが止まらない！
この時までは、そんな事を呑気に考えていました。この時までは。
Awazu station
There's enough time before the bus departs, so I had lunch. But I missed the bus because Amatriciana was so tasty, so I took a taxi.
I'm looking forward to the annual symposium!
I had been thinking about that, until this moment.
粟津温泉 喜多八に着きました。
素敵な庭先、和モダンな建物。中はどんな雰囲気なのか楽しみです。
ちょっと早く着いたけど、そろそろ他の参加者に出くわしても良さそうです。
思いがけず人いないし、受付は何だか薄暗いし…運営側や送迎バスに、なんかあったのかな？
Arrived at Kitahachi.
The traditional garden, and modern Japanese building are so cool. I can't help expecting the inside.
I came early but there must be the other participants.
Strangely I can't find them at all, the reception is dimly lit. I wonder something happened to the organizer?
ま：折紙シンポジウムの参加者なんですけど、スタッフの方は？
Me: I'm symposium participant, where is NOA staffs?
喜：市民センター行ってますね
Receptionist: They are in Komatsu Civic Center.
ま：待ってようかな。私の荷物来てますか？
Me: Alright, I'll wait for them. Now, has my luggage arrived?
喜：会場は市民センターみたいですよ
Receptionist: By the way the venue is Komatsu Civic Center.
なんかあったのは、私の方でした。
うそーん
昨年と違って、宿と会場は別だったのね…
The person who made a mistake was me!!!
I realized the inn & venue are different this year. OMG
ま：ここから市民センター、遠いですか？
Me: Is it far to the venue?
喜：遠い…ですねw
Receptionist: So far.
ま：バスありますかね〜
Me: Is bus available?
喜：いやー最寄りが隣の小松駅なんで…
Receptionist: No bus, because the venue is near Komatsu station.
ま：（今、小松駅から粟津駅まで来てランチしてたんだけどwww）
Me: (I had just left from Komatsu station LOL)
ま：タクシー呼ぼうかな
Me: I'll call a taxi
喜：やめた方が良いですよ、高いんで…
【タクシー代は約8,000円と判明】
Receptionist: Too expensive (¥8,000), so you should stop.
ま：ととととりあえず座って落ち着きます！！（落ち着くわけない）
Me: Anyway I'll calm down
困り果てていたとところ、フロントに一本の電話が。
どうやら送迎バスの運転手さんらしい。
シンポジウム参加者の送迎がひと段落し、時間が空いたとのこと。
え、宿まで戻ってきてくれる？
まじ？？？
市民センターまで送ってくれる？？
なん…だと？？？
オ、オレの…ために……
When I was at a loss, the phone at the front desk rang. Shuttle bus driver says, he has transported all participants.
What, he comes here? Take me to the venue? For me???

いや〜道すいてますね〜
お客さんツイてますね〜
そういう問題じゃないレベルでツイてるよ私。
しかも運転手さんトーク面白くて最高だよ。チップ8,000円渡しとけば良かったよ。

てかさ、聞いてよ奥さん。
私、前泊したホテルからバス停まで、徒歩16分だったんですよ。
市民センター、ホテルから反対方向に徒歩16分だったんですよ。
何で戻ってきてんのwwww
ローカルバスとＩＲに揺られて、駅でファミリーに写真撮ってあげたりしちゃって、パスタランチかまして、団体客のためにカウンターずれてあげて「大丈夫ですよ」とか言っちゃって、タクシーの運ちゃんと「このへんは車社会ですね」とか軽口たたいたりしちゃって、着いたらコレよ。
前夜にバーでシェリー樽キメて、「ブレアソールおいしいです」とか言っちゃって、次の日にコレよ。ダサ過ぎて脇下からウィスキー出たよ。
By the way
I later found out that it takes 16min walk from the hotel to the bus stop, and it takes 16min walk from the hotel to the venue. Same! LOL
Traveling by bus & train and taking a photo of family, enjoying pasta and offering my seat to the other diners gently, making small talk with taxi driver, and became like that in the end.
Last night I tasted whiskies and said "BLAIR ATHOL is good", and became like that in the end. So dope!!!
でも、お昼にいただいたパスタはとっても美味しかったです。行先をミスらなければ、ありつけなかったですね。ごちそうさまでした。

However that pasta was so tasty. If I hadn't made a mistake, I wouldn't visit.

シンポジウムのレポが珍道中レポで終わるところでした。
あぶないあぶない。
それがね、奇跡的に開会に間に合ったんですよ。
運転手さんにチップ8,000円渡しとけば良かったよ。
久しぶりの方にもお会いできて、私のことを覚えてくれている方もいて、嬉しい限りです。
I almost ended up just explaining the way to reception.
I miraculously made it to the opening on time.
I should have given him ¥8,000 tip.
There were many people who I met last year, and some remembered me.

半田理事長は、私が今年１〜２月に行っていた職場の長期研修の寮生の知人だったことが発覚。
世界は狭いですね。
Opening ceremony
It turns out that chairman Mr. Handa was a neighborhood of my training companions who spent time with me in Jan-Feb this year.
講演会では、越前和紙の歴史や価値、展望などについてのお話を聞きました。

In seminar, we listened about Echizen washi paper, such as history, value, and outlook.

折り紙教室。
コンベンションと同様、会場に並べられたデモ作品を見ながら選んでいく形式で、１日目・２日目の申し込みをまとめて行います。
Origami class
As with JOAS convention, we choose the class while browsing each model which displayed on the table. And apply for all days at once.
私が受講したのは、根本聖恵さんの「鶴のピアス・イヤリング」。
16カット、3.75cm×3.75cmのパールカラーで作った折り鶴に、ラジオペンチを使って金具を付けていくもの。
こうした細工は初体験でしたが、とっても楽しかったです。昔よくキーホルダーをバラして遊んだのを思い出します。
時間に余裕ができたので、はばたく鶴・飾り鶴も追加しちゃいました。
I joined ''Crane earrings",
Make paper crane with 3.75cm×3.75cm glossy sheet, then attach the bracket by pliers.
I played such a craft for the first time, it was so exciting and lot of fun. I used to play with disassembling key rings.
There's surplus time so I made another variations.
初日の夜、今度は私が講師。
満田茂さんの「⚪︎×記号」をお借りして、講習をやらせていただきました。
昨年度のシンポジウムでも同氏の「デジタル数字」をやりましたが、親しみやすい満田さんの作品は毎回大好評です。
ご参加された方々、ありがとうございました。
At night, my class.
I instructed "⚪︎× symbols" designed by Mr. Shigeru Mitsuda.
Last year I instructed his model "Digital Numbers" and well received.
Also this time everyone enjoyed my class, thanks for joining!
宿のロビーには、参加者が持ち寄った自慢の作品たちが出揃います。
「どやスゲェだろ！」といった複雑系やネタ系が所狭しと並ぶJOASコンベンションとは趣が違って、このNOAシンポジウムは難度を問わず、雰囲気や色づかいに工夫が凝らされている感じです。
In the lobby, there are exhibits which the participants brought.
Most of them are placed importance on the atmosphere, in contrast to JOAS convention that are displayed super complex ones.
もちろん、高難度の美しい作品も。
There're also super complex works.
私と同じく昨年から連続参加のみおさんは、潔く金ピカ推し。眩しいです！

初参加の勝川東さん。
気合いの入れ具合が半端なく、ここだけ異質なオーラを放っていました。というか普通に個展です。なんと贅沢な。
Higashi, first-time participant
Only his space was incredibly different.
It's like a solo exhibition.
私もちゃっかり出品。
ローズ・ブーケ「黎明」と、２種類のGothica Cube。
前者は友人の結婚式で飾ったものです。ツタが作る影がまた良い感じですね〜。
My works
"Dawn of a great nature" that I displayed for my friend's wedding last year. And two kinds of "Gothica Cube".
あと、森末圭さんの目覚まし時計「起きんかい!!!」。この日ができたてホヤホヤの初公開です。

全てのプログラムが終わったのは21時ごろ。
お風呂入っておやすみなさい…と思いきや、フリースペースが賑わうのはここからです。
私は別室に移動し、まさにぃ名物・佐藤ローズ鬼レッスンを開講。
未経験でも来る者拒まず。何としてでもハイブリッドティーローズを完成させるべく、奮闘してもらいました。トラウマになってないか心配です。
こうして、超濃厚な初日が過ぎ去っていく…
All program have ended at 21:00.
Some participants didn't go back to their room and interacted.
I opened "Sato rose seminar" on request, we made Hybrid tea rose. Everyone struggled to finish, I'm afraid my guidance might be pretty strict.

■２日目
折り紙教室と専門部会のうち、私は午前・午後ともに部会をチョイスしました。
まずは「児童教育部会」。
講師の梨本竜子さんは、自身の経験に基づいて、子供向け講座における伝え方・楽しみ方などを教えてくれました。
紙芝居のようなデモンストレーションや、具体的な作例の紹介などもあり、たいへん有意義な時間となりました。
ウケる作品のバリエーション、それから悩み事や課題などについて、参加者と情報交換できたのも良かったです。
■Day2
This day I joined Child education committee in AM.
Lecturer Ms. Nashimoto told us how to express & enjoy in children's origami class, based on her experience.
She showed us her handmade paper theater, and some specific examples. Extremely useful!
It was also meaningful that we could exchange informations about the variations of origami models, or share each of concerns.
実は梨本さん、私が折紙師範の論文を書く際に引用した先行研究の筆者でいらっしゃいました。まさか、こんなところでお会いできるとは！丁重にお礼をお伝えできて良かったです。
⚫︎論文
Amazingly, Ms Nashimoto was a person who wrote a certain previous research. That is the one which I cited when I wrote a paper for becoming "Origami master".
It was my great honor to meet her such a place and express special thanks.
午後は「講師交流部会」。
勝川さんが「劇場」と形容する山本一彦さんのファシリは、昨年に引き続きキレッキレでした。
次々と繰り出される折り紙レクリエーションに、参加者が持ち寄ったネタを時々混ぜて、あっという間の２時間半。
あのトーク力は到底真似できませんが、マネしたくなる作品バリエーションをたくさんゲットしたので、ぜひ今後の講座に役立てたいと思います。
それと、ゲームをクリアするたびに贈呈される景品が尋常じゃないほど豪華（写真）。
聞くと、作りっぱなしで放置していた作品の数々だそう。私も余った作品がそこそこあるので、私もコレやってみようかな。
私たちガチ勢が何気なく折った作品の数々が、誰かの宝物になりうることを実感しました。これも大きな収穫です！
In PM, Instructors exchange committee
Mr. Yamamoto played a role as an facilitator and a entertainer, I was impressed by his operation continuing to last year.
He showed various recreations with origami, and encouraged us to suggest some variations, 2.5H period had been passed soon.
Though I can't act like him, his ideas are all useful. I'll apply those in my class in the near future.
In addition, he hosted some small games and gave his origami works to each winner. Actually these items are his stocks which he made and left in the past. I want to do it too!
I wonder that a certain item which made by a certain origamist, will be a precious gift for someone.
夕方は折り紙教室。
勝川東さんが教える「ペンギン」です。
同氏の著書「はじめての難しい折紙」に収録されている作品で、タイトルのとおり、複雑系の入門的な位置付けです。
In the evening, Katsukawa-san's class "Penguin".
This model is listed in his textbook that is positioned as an introductory course among complex models.
私は今回、勝川講師のアシスタントをやらせていただきました。
10日くらい前に地域の公民館で講座をやる機会があり、私はそこでいわゆる「前哨戦」を経験済み。この時は、私＋まさくんが講師でキッカリ90分。ビギナー多めだったので苦労しました。
This time I served as an assistant for him.
I had practiced in advance, 10 days ago I taught the same model at the another seminar.
At that time I & Masa taught to the participants and took 90min. We struggled because there were almost all beginners.
で、シンポジウム当日。
前哨戦で掴んだ手応えを共有しつつ、勝川さん＋私のタッグでシンポジウムに臨んだのです。
（そこまでやっといて、私だけ初っ端から山折り・谷折りを間違えたの恥ずかしすぎる…）
This time Katsukawa-san & I started the lesson while sharing tips which I learned before.
(Excuse me that I made a mistake about making a crease at the first time)
結果、きっかり50分で全員完成！
半田理事長もいい笑顔です。
As a result, all participants completed in 50min!

懇親会。宴会です。
ひときわ豪華なお料理を囲んで、みんな開放感や満足感に満たされた空間でした。
抽選会ではまさかの「斎藤聰子賞」を引き当て、今年の運を使い果たしました。
Dinner party
Enjoying a variety of cuisines, we were all satisfied and felt fulfilled.
I unexpectedly got a raffle prizes presented by Ms. Satoko Saito.
で、出し物。
弾き語りやコント、中国ゴマなどのパフォーマンスが披露されます。
完全に昭和なノリが繰り広げられる中、平成生まれの勝川さんがネタをぶっ込んできました。
躰道（たいどう）の演武です。
Special performances
Piano ＆ sing, Chinese spinning top, comedy sketches, and this this year Katsukawa-san demonstrated martial arts "Taido".
持ってるのがつっぱり棒なのは、ホンモノを振り回すと物騒だから。
あれだけ飲んだ後にコレやるとか、どんな三半規管してんの。
He also performed with stick (clothespole considering safety).
I wonder his semicircular canals are particularly developed, because he danced so powerful even though he drunk that much.
大歓声に包まれて終演。
お姉様方の目がハートになっていました。
His stage ended with full of cheers.
で、最後はまさにぃ名物・佐藤ローズ鬼レッスン。やりたいって言ったからには全力で教えるので、覚悟を決めてもらいましょう。
せっかくだから良い紙で折ってもらおうと、ヴィヴァルディやキュリアスメタルを大盤振る舞い。
At night, I opened "Sato rose seminar" again.
I must make all challengers success!
Taking this opportunity, I distributed relatively expensive papers such as "Curious Metal" or "Vivaldi" to all.
奮闘すること２時間超、ようやく完走。
よくみんな、付いてきてくれましたね。お疲れ様でした！
Through over two hours, they finally completed. Well done!

■３日目（最終日）
スパルタ佐藤ローズ講座を生き延びた方々は、果たして悪夢にうなされずに済んだのでしょうか。
時短シャワー派の私でも寝不足を感じるくらいだから、あのあと大浴場に駆け込んだ彼らの睡眠時間はお察しします。ごめんね、でも仕方なかったんだ（棒読み）。
■Day3 (The last day)
I wonder some people who struggled & survived Sato rose seminar last night might be plagued by nightmare.
I usually don't use public bath or room bathtub, even I felt lack of sleep, they might be worse.
最後のプログラムは、「あじさい折りおりがみ」でお馴染み、プロジェクトＦの立役者・斎藤聰子さんの講義。
前半は、あじさい折りの祖・故 藤本修三さんとの出会い、著書出版に至るまでのお話などを聞きました。
The last program is special seminar by Ms. Satoko Saito, one of the person who raised "Project F", famous for Hydrangea folding.
First, she talked about her relationship with the late Mr. Shuzo Fujimoto (the founder of Hydrangea folding), and the path to publication of the official textbook.
後半は実技。
びっしり仕込んで組み立てる幾何学図形を２つ作りました。
最終日にして理系頭フル回転の課題を出され、大教室のあちこちに起こるどよめき。私はできる限り、周りのアシストに回りました。
斎藤さんとは随所でご一緒する機会があり、たくさんお話しできて大変光栄でした。ありがとうございました。
Next, we challenged to assemble some geometric patterns which requires to make complex creases.
All participants worked on hard by being given such a mathematical task on the last day. I made my effort to assist others.
I fortunately had many opportunity to talk with Ms. Saito, I was so pleased.
午前中に全てのプログラムが終了。
たくさんのネタとお土産をひっさげ、小松空港を後にします。
All program has finished by noon.
I left Komatsu airport with full of memories & gifts.

昨年に引き続き、今年も盛りだくさんの３日間を過ごした「2025折紙シンポジウムinこまつ」。
