先日、友人の結婚式がありました。
ふたりの新しい門出をみんなで喜び祝う、あたたかなパーティとなり、とても良い時間を過ごせました。めでたい。おめでとう。
The other day my friend's wedding was held.
We spent a special time that all of participants celebrated them, it was warm and full of happiness.
結婚の知らせを聞いた際、ふたりへのお祝いの気持ちを形にしたいと思い、「何か折るよ」と私からオファーしました。
結果、披露宴会場の受付装飾と、新郎の胸元につけるブートニアを仰せつかることに。
When I heard about their marriage,
I suggested "I'll fold for you", to express my blessings.
As a result, I was requested to make decorations at the reception desk, and boutonniere for his chest.
ふたりの好きな色、会場の雰囲気やレイアウト、その他もろもろの情報を新郎から聞き出してコンセプトを決定。
晴れ舞台にふさわしい贈り物を用意すべく、腕まくりをして制作に臨むのでした。
Considering their favorite colors, atmosphere of the venue, layout, I determined the concept.
I started doing my best work to the happiest moment.

今日はウェディング装飾の制作記録を、まるっとレポートします。
Welcome to Atelier masanii.
Today I'll report a process to make my origami decorations for their wedding.

会場は神奈川県厚木市の「アマンダンヒルズ」。
郊外の丘上にひっそり佇む、緑に囲まれた洋風の邸宅です。
程よい上品さと緊張感をもった披露宴会場。
この雰囲気に合うものは何か、ひたすら考えました。

Wedding was held at "Amandan Hills" in Kanagawa.
It is a western-style mansion that places on the suburban hillside. The lush venue has an elegance and dignity.
I thoroughly considered what is the most suitable works.
求められているのは「飾りもの」であり、「折り紙アート」ではありません。主役は新郎新婦であり、私が作るのは彼らを祝う披露宴会場のパーツに過ぎず、それを見失うとタダの展示会になってしまいます。
では、何を作るか。
伝承モノやシンプル系を乱発すると「おもちゃ感」が出てチープな雰囲気になってしまいます。とはいえ複雑系で「折り紙のスゴさ」をアピールするのも違います。こうしたバランス感覚が難しいところで、披露宴が終わった今も正解を見出せていません。
All I was required is "Decoration", not "Origami arts".
Needless to say the brightest must be bride and groom, so my works must be just a part of the reception venue. When I loose these things, my works becones just a boring exhibition.
What should I make.
If I display many traditional models or simple ones, they might look pretty cheap. However, when I prepare super-complex models and show off the awesomeness, it's lame.
It's difficult to find the best answer, and I still not done.
色々考えたけれど、結局は目の前のことを全力でやるだけです。
In the end, just do it.
御託はこれくらいにして、具体的な話に移りましょう。
まずはカラーコンセプトです。
新郎からの情報によれば、新婦が好きな色は藍色、くすみ緑。新郎はビロード（深みのある緑）か藍色。そして、アマンダンヒルズの緑豊かな環境。季節は１１月。
受付机は「青系×緑系」で清涼感と生命の躍動を、写真が並ぶサイドテーブルは、秋の装いと紅白アイテムを添える…といった方針で決定しました。
I'll explain the specific story.
First, color concept.
He told me the bride's favorite color is navy-blue, grass-green. and his favorite is velvet-green, navy-blue. It's November, lush venue.
So I decided to apply "Blue & Green" into the reception desk to express coolness and the dynamism of life. On the side table, the autumn taste, and red & white.
私がやるのは「受付装飾」だから、受付のジャマになっては論外です。
受付係の４人が到着したら、彼らの準備に合わせてレイアウト変更が必要になりますが、もちろんソレも想定済みです。作品の数や置き方、ツタの絡ませ方やビンの位置をズラすことで微調整が完了。
遠景で見たら、作品全体は意外と小さくなりますね。
Again, I must do is just a "Decorations at the reception desk". I should never disturb the receptionists and the guests.
Although I have to adjust a whole layout whem the receptionists arrive, of course it's no problem. I fixed them by moving or thinning out some extra ones.

各作品のレポいきます。
まずはカウンターの左側。
ここは、新郎新婦が好きな色でひたすら攻めるスタイルです。
I'll show the each work.
First, the left side. I prepared their favorite colors as much as possible.
■青バラのブーケ
佐藤ローズをワインボトルに生けたもの。
モデルはハイブリッドティーローズ「かおりんメソッド」です。
正十二面体の面配置に、下部に茎を通すためマイナス１、つまり１１個のバラを用意しました。
素数（＝割れない）で縁起が良いのは偶然です。
■Blue Wish
Sato roses in white wine bottle.
These are Hybrid tea rose "Kaorin's method".
Apply each rose to the a regular dodecahedron face, and pull out one to attach the stem. In other words, I prepared eleven ones. It unexpectedly became a prime number.
素材はヴィヴァルディの青系。薄い方から、
・SKY BLUE（スカイブルー）
・PRIMARY BLUE（プライマリーブルー）
・AZURE BLUE（アジュールブルー）
この３種を使いました。
ガクは白色で統一しています。
I used "Vivaldi", the blue ones.
・SKY BLUE
・PRIMARY BLUE
・AZURE BLUE
These three above, and applied white calyxes.
アクセントの小花は、「１年中楽しめる花の折り紙」の「ジャスミン」を、白い半透明のレース柄で折ったもの。先端をカールさせるアレンジを加えています。
Small flowers are "Jasmine" listed in "Flower Origami", and I used transparent white paper with lace pattern.
I added some curls to each petal.
ガクと小花に白ワイヤーを通したら、脱落防止のためボンドで接着。
あとは白マステで全体のバランスを見ながら束ねていきます。
After penetrating each calyx and small flower by white wire, attached to rose by bond.
Then bundled by white tape while checking overall silhouette.
ビンの底には、おもし＋ズレ防止のためビー玉を入れます。
開口部には、茎が偏らないようコルクを仕込みました。コルクが完全に隠れるよう、一気に押し込むのでパワーが必要です。
Then inserted marbles as a weight, and stuffed the opening with a piece of cork to prevent from falling over.
I made the cork be completely hidden by pushing strongly.
準備完了。
車内で一度ぶっ倒れましたが、一命を取り留めました。
Completed
It fell over once on the way to venue, but fortunately safe.
■チョウ
こちらはYouTubeがネタ元です。手軽に作れて見栄えが良いので、たいへん重宝しました。
クリップ＋磁石を仕込んで着脱可能にしています。
創作者が不明瞭なのですが、伏せても仕方ないので、参照元をご紹介させていただきます（正確な情報をご存知の方がいたら教えてください）。

■ローズ・ブーケ「黎明」
こちらは以前の記事でご紹介した作品。
シルバー×深緑のバイカラーに、曲線のアレンジを入れた特製品です。
実は制作時間が一番かかっているのがコレ。
■Rose Bouquet "Dawn of a great nature"
This is the one that I showed on the past post.
A masterpiece that applying "Curved creases" & "Curls" to the original model, with silver & dark green、
Actually I spent the most time to complete among all works.
■その他
・Tatsumiさんの「にゃんこ」が隠れてます。誰か気付いてくれたのでしょうか。
・ウチに転がってたロゼットとＨＴを、賑やかしに混ぜています。

次にカウンターの右側。
こちら側にはプロのデザイナーである友人が作ったウェルカムボードが飾られるので、私の作品は控えめにしておきました。
（参列者各位：アレ手書きだそうです。変態なのは知ってたが想像以上だった。）
左側のナチュラル系に対して、こちらはゴールドをあしらい、煌びやかな雰囲気に仕立てました。
The right side.
Next to this space, welcome board designed by my friend, a professional designer will be placed. So I arranged my works modestly.
(To the participants:He said it was handwritten. He's the Hentai)
Compared to the right side with botanical taste, this side I finished gorgeous by applying gold.
メインは、ローズ・ブーケ「月夜の宝珠」。
前述の「黎明」のプロトタイプで、ゴールド×紺色の組み合わせです。
The highlight is rose bouquet "Orb of Moonlit Night".
This is the prototype of "Dawn of a great nature", I used gold & navy-blue.
シャンパングラスには、伝承の風船（7.5cm）を詰め込みました。作り過ぎたのでテーブルに散らしています。
上にはAbrahamさんのダイヤモンド、下にはダイヤの指輪。あと家に転がってた川崎ローズ。
中央には、ジャケ買いしたチリワイン「エスト レセルヴァ シラー」を添えています。
I prepared a champagne glass and poured balloon (the traditional model, made of 7.5cm square) into it, and I scattered some extra ones on the floor.
Then I put "Diamond" designed by Abraham on it, and Kawasaki rose beside it. and "EST Reserva SYRAH" in the center.

サイドテーブルです。
ここは新郎新婦の思い出写真が主役なので、高さ・密度を落として控えめにしました。
登場するのは…
■メルシャン「バードソング」
ジャケ買いしたボトル。当初はこれにバラを生けようと思ったのですが、色味と絵柄のバランスを考えてコッチに配置しました。
■とんびのつがい
テキストは1972年の書籍「おりがみ せかいのとり」。私の原点です。
高級和紙で折った２羽のとんびが飛び交う様子を、ワインボトルの絵柄と調和させました。
■インコ
シャンパングラスにとまるインコも、「おりがみ せかいのとり」の作品。あらゆる場面で本当にお世話になってます。
■飾り鶴
高１の頃、かわちょ先輩から教わって以来のヘビロテ作品。
■もみじツル

Side table
Bride & Groom's memorial photos are displayed here.
The most important things are their photos, so I reduced the height & density in my works.
■Mercian Wines "Birdsong"
I fell in love with its label. Originally I supposed to applying roses, but I changed my mind considering its color and pattern.
■Bird Couple
This is my memorable model that represents my origins, listed in a textbook from 1972.
I made two kites with washi paper and expressed a scene that they are flying together, then harmonized with the bottle's pattern.
■Crane with a maple leaf-shaped wings
Listed in Monthly ORIGAMI magazine No.543(Nov.2020).
I arranged that they surround the roses.
■ローズ・ブーケ「愛の夢」
紅白のくす玉をよく見ると…譜面が見えてきます。
リスト「愛の夢」を奏でる、スペシャルな贈り物です。
実は数あるアイテムの中でも１番の推しが本作で、コイツをどう飾ろうかずっと考えていました。
これは「ピアノスコア・オリガミ２」というパッケージに入っている絵柄の一つで、長らく温めていた秘蔵っ子。ドンピシャの場面で登場させることができました。果たして、ここまで気付いた人はどれだけいるのでしょうか。
■Rose Bouquet "Dreams of Love"
When you look at the red & white Kusudama ball, you can see a music score.
This is my special gift for wedding, that plays "Dreams of Love" written by Franz Liszt.
Actually this is the best of my works, so I was considering where to display, all the time.
This Origami paper is one of "PIANO SCORE ORIGAMI Vol.2", I've put it away for a long time. I'm satisfied that it played such a role. I wonder how many people are aware of these things.

新郎の胸元を飾るブートニアです。
「新婦のドレスの色に合わせたい」という新郎の粋なリクエストに応えて、水色のバラを用意しました。
Boutonniere for groom.
He requested the color that suits her wedding dress, so I prepared a light-blue rose.
手持ちのヴィヴァルディでも良かったのですが、ブーケと同じ紙では芸がない…と思って探していたところ、良さげな素材を発見しました。Keikoさんから譲ってもらった「ハンマートーン」と思しき１点モノです。
モデルは「ニューモダンローズ」。
適度な鋭角と丸み、縦方向の層構造がつくる影と水色のコントラスト、独特な星型のシルエット。
優しい曲線を芯にもち、折るところはきっちり折る。強さと柔和が共存する「アイツ仕様」のバラに仕上げました。
Although it's fine to use a ordinal Vivaldi, but I thought it'd better using another kind of texture, rather than the same paper as bouquet. Then I found a nice one that Keiko shared me in the past.
The rose is called "New modern rose",
It's moderately round & spiky, and vertical layer structure creates a contrast between shadow and blue.
Finally it became gentle and tough, like him.
バラのまわりには、タント・パステルキララの葉を２枚。派手すぎない光沢がいい仕事してます。
バラのガクも同じパステルキララです。正面からほとんど見えませんが、妥協しません。
当初はクラッポマーブルで作っていたのですが、マットな質感が華やかさを欠く気がしたので、途中交代しました（実はサイドテーブルに流用してます）。
ガクと葉に白ワイヤーを通したら、白マステで固定。さらに、フォートナム＆メイソンのリボンで束ねます。リボンの重なりをズラして、ちょっとリッチに。
ワイヤーの先端は切るのもめんど…いや、勿体ないので、あえて見せることにしました。折り返し後にクルッと円を描き「水引風」にしたのです。「ちょいズラし手曲げ同心円」がこだわりポイント。
取付用のピンを紙＆金属対応のボンドで接着して、リボンが解けないよう瞬間接着剤でカチコチに固めたら、完成です。
Around the rose, two leaves from Tant paper "PASTEL KIRARA". It has moderate gloss, not too flashy.
In calyx I used the same paper. Even if it won't be seen from the front, I never compromise.
Originally I supposed to using Crapo Marble, but I canceled because its matte texture will make less gorgeous. (I put these to the side table)
After penetrating calyx and leaves by white wire, fixed by white tape. Then tied with ribbon, Fortnum & Mason. And I finished rich by making gaps by each layer.
I intentionally exposed wire tips, instead of cutting off. And bended into concentric Circles like "Mizuhiki".
Then I glued with mounting pin by bond that can attach paper and metal. And fix the ribbon not to be untied, by soaking instant adhesive. Completed!!!
当初はバラを２つにしてみたり、葉っぱを３枚にしてみたり…と、色々なアイディアがあったのですが、試行錯誤と嬉しい誤算が重なった結果、今の形に落ち着きました。
Originally I tried various ideas that two flowers, three leaves, etc.
Through countless trial & error, unexpecting change, it finished such a style.
私が贈ったブートニアを新郎が付け、水色のドレスの新婦と共に登場した瞬間。あの感動と高揚感は今も忘れられません。似合ってたぜ。最高のカップルだ。頼んでくれてありがとう！
The decisive moment when the groom wearing that boutonniere entered with blue-dressed bride, I was really impressed and excited, I never forget still now. Goes well, you're so beautiful both, great thanks!

ここからは余談。
私もちゃっかり、レジンで固めた佐藤ローズのブローチを付けていきました。
15cmヴィヴァルディの「かおりんメソッド」です。ネクタイとの調和も良き。せっかくだから楽しまなきゃね。
Side notes
I wore an origami rose brooch hardened by resin. This is "Kaorin's method" made of 15cm Vivaldi. It goes well with my green tie. I enjoyed a lot.
■搬入の様子
あれだけ作っても、意外とコンパクトに収まるものですね。
普段使っている道具一式、マスキングテープ、ワイヤー、それからタントや千代紙…いざとなったら補修や作り足しができるよう、思いつくものは全て積載して出発しました。「いつものアレ」があると安心しますよね。結果的にマステが活躍したので良かったです。
■Moving
Such a large amount of origami works, they could be transported compactly.
I brought all tools & materials in case unexpected situation that I need to repair or reproduce something. Tape, wire, Tant paper, Washi, etc. As a result white tape was especially useful.
■いつの間に
披露宴が始まったあと、スタッフの方が装飾一式を会場の前に移動してくれていました。
お手洗いで離席したら、目の前にあってびっくり！
■Staffs' wit
After the party started, all origami decorations were moved near the reception hall by the staffs.
When I leave the room once, amazingly it appeared in front of me!
よくもまぁ、クセのある「オレ仕様装飾」を短時間で飾り直してくれたものです。
（悔しいけどコッチの方が綺麗な気がする…）
スタッフの方々の手際とセンスに感服しました。
I was impressed that they managed to restructure my complex works in a short time. They did a great job!
(Actually better than my arrangement)

新郎とハイボールを片手に語り合ったのは６月のこと。具体的なイメージが固まったのは８月、作品や素材の選定を経て、約２ヶ月にわたって少しずつ作っていきました。
色々な人がふたりを支える中で、私は私ができる最高の仕事をしよう。
そう決め込んで、いよいよ迎えた当日。飾り付けが終わり、待合室にゲストが入り始めた時点で、私の頭には既にエンドロールが流れていました。マンゴージュースおかわりしちゃったよ。
First meeting in June, fixed the policy in August, through the selection of origami models & papers, I have been making little by little, for about two months.
Many people assist Bride & Groom, all I have to do is to accomplish my best job.
The day has come, when I finished all decorations and guest came, end-credit was played in my mind. It was really tough!
披露宴が始まると、そこには幸せなふたり、祝う人々、優美な会場、おいしい料理。
最高の時間を皆で過ごしていたら、疲れはどこかにいってしまいました。
最後に出てきた劇的にうまいアールグレイのケーキを頬張りながら、ケーキうまい…じゃなかった、お祝いできてよかったなぁ…と、甘い夜を噛みしめるのでした。
When the party start, there are Bride & Groom with full of happiness, all people celebrated, graceful venue and especially delicious cuisine. While spending a happy moment with my friends, my fatigue has gone away.
I was really happy to celebrate them.
I enjoyed sweet night with Earl Ggray cake.
それにしても、あのケーキはうまかった。また来ようかな。
